Hanske-Hallén
Most of the gloves are sold in the shop, where joining used to be too much trouble. Now it takes a scan at the counter, and the club has gone from 6,000 to 12,000+ members.

The challenge
Hanske-Hallén already had a club with several thousand members when it started looking at Wolve in the summer of 2025. Online, a sign-up offer brought members in steadily. At the till, joining meant a form and an email to confirm, a lot to ask with a Christmas queue behind the customer. When the club moved to Wolve, only 6% of its members had joined in the shop.
Running the club took work too. Staff registered and corrected details such as gender by hand, and purchases at the till did not always reach the member. Anette wanted an easier way into the club, and more room to segment and automate around the customer data, across the shop and the webshop.
And a large share of the year’s sales comes in November and December, much of it across that counter. A club that can reach customers before that peak is worth a lot.
The solution
Hanske-Hallén switched over on 1 September 2025. The full member list came across with each member’s points balance, so nobody had to start from zero. From the same day, the club ran as Hanske-Hallén Premium, connected to the till in the Oslo shop and to the webshop.
Joining now takes a scan at the counter. Customers scan a QR code at the counter or join with a tap online with Vipps. No form and no email to confirm. Name, phone number and consent come with it, and the first purchase already earns points.

Join in seconds
No registration form and no confirmation email, so joining fits in while the customer pays.
One club, shop and web
Points from the counter and the webshop land on the same member, whichever door they use next.
No points by hand
Till purchases register on the member by themselves, so staff stop fixing balances afterwards.

The program
The old points ladder had thresholds few customers ever reached. The new program is simple on purpose. Every purchase gives 3% back in bonus points, and one point is one krone off a later purchase, so a member always knows what they have. It works the same at the counter in Oslo and at hanske-hallen.no, and members who joined before the move kept the points they had built up.
A simple bonus works for us. Customers understand it straight away, and it gives them a reason to come back, also outside the glove season.

3% back on every purchase
Earned in the shop and online, and banked as kroner for the next visit. Item lines earn points, shipping does not.
A welcome offer on the first purchase
A 100 kr coupon on purchases over 500 kr, plus 10% in bonus points on the first purchase, so a sign-up at the counter has a reason to come back and buy.
A birthday text with an offer
A 100 kr coupon by SMS, valid for seven days, so the club has a reason to be in touch outside winter.

The data
Hanske-Hallén carries a large range for both women and men. But a third of the members had no gender on record, so the women’s and men’s newsletters missed many of them. Now Wolve fills in gender with AI, and consent and every purchase reach the profile Klaviyo sees, where the shop sends its newsletters.
Wolve connects the till, the webshop and Vipps to one member profile. Welcome coupons are issued when a member joins, and on a member’s birthday Wolve sends the SMS with the coupon, with no manual work.
In June 2026 Hanske-Hallén moved its webshop from WooCommerce and its till from Front Systems to Shopify and Shopify POS. The club moved with it: members, bonus points, the welcome coupon and the birthday coupon were set up on Shopify the same week, and members kept earning points without a break. The platform changed. The club, the members and their points stayed in Wolve.

Gender filled in by AI
Women’s and men’s newsletters reach the right members, and nobody sorts them by hand.
Synced to Klaviyo
Members, gender and consent go to Klaviyo, where the shop already writes its emails.
Moved with the shop

The results
The club had about 6,000 members when it moved in September 2025. It passed 9,000 by the end of the year, through its first Christmas with Wolve, and has over 12,000 members today. More than 2,200 joined in the first ten months of 2026, outside the peak. Nearly all of them can be reached: 95% have said yes to email and 82% to SMS.
The bonus points are doing their job among the members who use them. In 2026, members who used their points placed 1.6 orders each, and their average order was 17% higher.
Wolve took over Hanske-Hallén’s existing club with members and points intact, connected it to the shop, the webshop, Vipps and Klaviyo, filled in member gender with AI, and kept it running when the shop moved to Shopify.

What changed
The members, their purchases and their consent belong to Hanske-Hallén, not to an ad platform.
Every sale at the till now adds to what the shop knows about who buys what.
Offers and bonus can be changed in Wolve without a developer.
Twice the club since the move
Members in the previous club on 31 August 2025, at the end of 2025, and in October 2026.
Hanske-Hallén now has twice the club it had when it moved to Wolve, and customers join it where most of the gloves are sold: at the counter.
Your busiest weeks bring in customers you may not see again for a year. A club they can join at the till is how you stay in touch.
All figures are Hanske-Hallén’s own, from Wolve in October 2026, shop and webshop together. The August 2025 figure is the member list exported from the previous club on 31 August 2025. Consent figures are today’s. The comparison of members who used points with those who did not shows a correlation, not necessarily cause.
No obligation.

We already have a club. Do we have to start over?
No. Hanske-Hallén moved its club of about 6,000 members at the end of August 2025, and members kept the points they had built up.
How do customers join?
Our staff are busy at the till. Will customers actually join?
Does it work in a physical store as well as online?
Do we have to register details like gender by hand?
